On behalf of our client, a pharmaceutical company specializing in the commercialization of rare disease products with a rapidly expanding portfolio of therapeutic areas (TAs) and strong expertise in orphan drug pathways, we are seeking a dedicated and dynamic

Market Access and Key Account Manager – Rare Diseases

This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs), charitable foundations, hospitals, and local health authorities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the rare disease landscape and the ability to drive strategic initiatives to support the company’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the field of rare diseases.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs), ensuring alignment and collaboration on mutual goals.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with charitable foundations to explore and secure funding opportunities and partnerships.

Hospital and Health Authority Collaboration

  • Engage with hospitals and healthcare providers to facilitate the access of our products into patient care.
  • Work closely with local health authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and advocate for policies that support rare disease patients.

Market Intelligence

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in the rare disease space, including scientific advancements, policy changes, and market trends.
  • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to assess product potential and access strategies.

Project Management

  • Lead and manage key projects and initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and access to care.
  • Coordinate local efforts to ensure the successful execution of strategic plans.

Advocacy and Education

  • Develop and deliver educational programs and materials to raise awareness about rare diseases and highlight the company's efforts.
  • Advocate for the needs of rare disease patients within the healthcare community and beyond.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field;
  • Experience in Market Access or Key Account management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with KOLs, PAGs, hospitals, and health authorities.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Polish market.
  • Strong understanding of the rare disease landscape and the unique challenges faced by patients and healthcare providers is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Proficiency in the local language is required – Polish.
  • English working proficiency is a required.
