AWS Cloud Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design AWS cloud solutions that meet scalability, availability, and performance objectives.
• Architect, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, ELB, Kinesis, Kinesis Streams, KMS, Secrets Manager, AWS Shield WAF, AWS SDK, AWS SAM and more, leveraging infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.
• Develop automation scripts and tools using programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript to automate deployment, configuration, and management of AWS resources.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications on AWS, integrating tools such as AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Design and implement serverless applications and event-driven architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, and other AWS services.
• Optimize AWS environments for cost efficiency, performance, and security, utilizing services like AWS Trusted Advisor, Cost Explorer, and CloudWatch.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements in AWS environments, implementing encryption, IAM policies, and network security controls.
• Troubleshoot issues related to AWS infrastructure and applications, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development teams to refactor applications for cloud-native architectures, leveraging AWS services and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with company’s services, features, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability to the organization's needs.
• Document architecture designs, deployment procedures, and operational guidelines for AWS environments. Mentor and train team members on AWS best practices, coding standards, and automation techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and solutions, with AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or Java, with experience in developing automation scripts and tools.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, using tools like AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and serverless computing on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in AWS environments.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes on AWS (EKS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
