Purchasing/Procurement Manager (Bulgaria & Romania)
The core responsibility of the ROLE is to transform company vision, strategy and plans into a purchasing strategy while providing all departments with effective purchasing support and tools to maximize overall cost effectiveness and increased profits. This would be achieved by working in close cooperation with Business Unit Management and departments with well-defined processes and procedures and through clear communication.
Requirements:
- Relevant business knowledge and experience in a same/similar role;
- Extensive managerial and leadership experience preferably in the heavy vehicle or a related B2B industry;
- Previous experience in implementation of software product for Purchasing and Finance, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365/Oracle/SAP is a MUST;
- Experience from a position with a large number of direct reports with a P&L responsibility;
- Experience of Sourcing and Purchasing or equivalent relevant experience;
- Understanding of business issues, processes and outcomes to enhance business performance;
- Ability to negotiate and create contracts for signing by understanding the risks and legal impact;
- Ability to explore positions and alternatives to reach best possible outcome by seeking mutual benefits and maintaining relationship in business discussions with the counterparts;
- Demonstrates understanding for importance of safety and health policies, procedures and regulations. Creates and safeguards a healthy, safe and sustainable work environment for all employees;
- Knows how to identify important external and internal stakeholders. Is able to create and maintain positive relationships with them in order to manage expectations and different interests, understand their impact on the business as well as to prepare and accomplish agreements;
- Experience of cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and demand management;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities:
- Setting purchasing strategy and procedures in the Business Plan, while ensuring clear Procurement Area strategies are implemented and maintained by Procurement Area Leaders;
- Ensuring routines are in place to identify, contact and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers while maintaining and developing relationship with strategic suppliers;
- Overseeing and coordinating overall and day-to-day purchasing and sourcing operations;
- Project owner for the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Purchasing/Procurement;
- Warrant a cooperative way of working across the applicable departments with other parts of the Business Unit organisation and globally, ensuring an open and effective cross functional communication;
- Leading departmental meetings, visiting and interacting with customers;
- Leading, motivating and managing the team in order to delivering high-quality and timely service to the organisation;
- Conducting and acting upon P&D Talks, competence and performance management, succession planning and employee satisfaction surveys;
- Setting KPI’s and individual targets for the team and follow them up on a regular basis;
- Understanding the difference between and work with both market plan activities (business improvements) and process improvements (continuous improvements).
