Database Developer

Responsibilities: 

• Design and maintain data solutions using PostgreSQL and ClickHouse for large-scale analytics
• Manage large datasets using data partitioning and sharding
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and cache management
• Design, implement, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines for high-speed data ingestion
• Update monitoring and alerting metrics to proactively manage database health
• Collaborate with data analysts, product owners, DBAs, and developers to meet reporting needs
• Troubleshoot database issues to ensure minimal disruption to business operations
• Document database structures, processes, and performance metrics
• Promote best practices for database design and management
• Explore new features and enhancements for improved performance
• Write scripts for automation and operational efficiency

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Database Developer
• Hands-on expertise with database standards and end-user applications
• Strong knowledge of relational (preferably PostgreSQL) and analytical (preferably ClickHouse) databases
• Experience with large datasets and high-volume transactions
• Proficiency in SQL with skills in query optimization and performance tuning
• Familiarity with database design, documentation, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT processes
• Basic programming skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
